Evalueserve selects Trend Micro to secure its virtualized environments

Security

Trend Micro Incorporated delivers advanced security solutions for Evalueserve. Trend Micro Deep Security was implemented across their 19 ESX servers for 100 virtual servers and 1,300 virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) machines. Evalueserve also deployed Trend Micro Apex One solution (previously known as OfficeScan) for endpoint protection, Trend Micro Scanmail Protection for Microsoft Exchange, Trend Micro Interscan Messaging Security Appliance (IMSVA), and Trend Micro Apex Central (previously known as Control Manager) solution to provide central management capabilities.

Evaluserve’s previous security solution was designed for agent-based protection of physical machines. When the company moved to a virtualized environment, they needed a security solution that wouldn’t reduce the performance of its production environment. The solution also needed to be compatible with its VMware infrastructure and cover thousands of employees across locations in several countries. Trend Micro solutions are integrated with VMware vSheild Endpoint APIs to provide agentless security.

Nilesh Jain, vice president, Southeast Asia and India, Trend Micro said, “Trend Micro solutions helped Evalueserve to automate manual tasks, and provide advanced reporting and central management. This improved efficiency and paved the way for future expansion. It also reduced the number of threats from malware and spyware. The solutions rendered better control over Evalueserve’s IT environment and did not affect performance.”

“Trend Micro’s global partnership with VMware helps a lot and now all the latest versions of VMware are supported by Trend Micro Deep Security. There were no compatibility issues while deploying the solution,” said Sachin Jain, Chief Information Officer, Evalueserve.
