Tata Power-DDL collaborates with Delhi Police to Enhance Public Safety Awareness

Tata Power Delhi Distribution Limited (Tata Power-DDL) a leading power utility supplying electricity to a populace of around 9 million in North & Northwest part of Delhi, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Delhi Police, for enhancing public safety awareness across the National capital. Under the MoU, the two parties will work together to produce and share informative audiovisual (AV) content focusing on a variety of safety issues, including electrical safety, road safety, cyber security, women safety, and crime prevention.

The initiative aims to raise awareness among citizens, helping them adopt safer practices in their everyday lives. Both organizations will work jointly on campaigns like “Safety Awareness Ahead of Festive Season” and “International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women.”

The MoU was signed by Mr. Gajanan S. Kale, Chief Executive Officer, Tata Power Delhi Distribution Limited and Mr. Sanjay Kumar Tyagi, Additional Commissioner of Police and Public Relations Officer of Delhi Police in the presence of senior officials from both the organizations.

With Tata Power-DDL serving an extensive populace in North Delhi and Delhi Police being the guardian of the National Capital’s safety and security, this collaboration will be impactful in disseminating critical safety information to the public through videos and other digital content. The initiative will focus on key safety areas, including electrical safety by promoting safety tips related to electricity usage, especially during the festive season. It will also address road safety, encouraging safe driving practices, particularly during National Road Safety Week, and cyber security, offering tips on how to stay safe in the digital world.

The partnership will further promote women’s safety by supporting initiatives for their protection and empowerment, while also raising awareness about fire and electrical hazards ahead of major festivals like Dussehra and Diwali.
