Twitter recorded 1.1 million Tweets as the Parliament debated over the #NoConfidenceMotion

Twitter is the best and fastest place to see what’s happening in India and across the world. As the monsoon session of the Parliament went on, Twitter recorded over 1.1 million related Tweets over the weekend (Jul 20 – Jul 22, 2018) as Indians witnessed a mammoth 12-hour-long session at the Lok Sabha on Friday, where government and opposition participated in the no-confidence motion debate.

Amid all speeches, the conversations on Twitter peaked on the platform between Jul 20, 1030 – 1130pm IST, and lit up the country as seen in the heat map below. Key hashtags that emerged on Twitter around the subject included #MonsoonSession, #NoConfidenceVote, #NoConfidenceMotion, #BhookampAaneWalaHai, #KyaHuaTeraVaada, #NoConfidencePolitics, #hugplomacy and #IndiaTrustsModi.

While the hug that Congress leader Rahul Gandhi gave to Prime Minister Modi will go down in Twitter history, people were able to see different sides to the Parliament action on the platform.
