LG Recognised with National Energy Conservation Award 2019
LG Electronics India with the National Energy Conservation Award 2019 as manufacturers of BEE Star Labelled Appliances (Air Conditioners) Sector.
Conferred by Shri Raj Kumar Singh Hon’ble Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Power and New Renewable Energy and Hon’ble Minister of State for Skill Development & Entrepreneurship on the National Energy Conservation Day, the National Energy Conservation Award promotes and celebrates India’s benchmarks in energy conservation. LG AC was awarded for most energy efficient appliance of the year for LG 5-star model KS-Q18ENZA.
Mr Vijay Babu- VP- Home Appliances- LG Electronics said; “We, at LG are putting continuous efforts to offer best of our products that are performance-oriented and top-notch. In 2017 we were the first brand to shift entire line up of AC’s to inverter range, as we wanted to offer most energy efficient solutions to consumers. This move certainly inspired the industry and today inverter AC constitutes 70% of total AC industry. We are thankful to Govt of India for this recognition & we will continue offering energy efficient appliances to consumers”.

This joint acknowledgement by Ministry of Power and Bureau of Energy Efficiency is particularly special as it recognizes our efforts in producing innovative technology for consumers that are not only the most energy efficient products but also provide added features – an area we value greatly at LG. We would be continuing our approach towards expanding the high energy-efficient in other segments by continuing the development of new technologies. In 2019 we have achieved more than 60% of total sales from 5-star rated AC (in Split ACs segment) which is far ahead from industry.”
The award has annually recognized manufacturers who have made systematic, consistent and serious attempts to create awareness about the use of energy-efficient appliances. Since 2010, it has drawn more and more manufacturers of BEE Star-labelled appliances and equipment. LG Air conditioners won this recognition in 2014 as well.
LG was awarded based on its outstanding achievements and contribution in the field of energy conservation through sales of energy efficient appliances. LG being the industry leader and pioneer in technology introduced the concept of LG Dual Inverter technology’ in Air Conditioners, Initially this year LG Electronics launched 54 AC models out of which 28 were 5-star rating from the Bureau Energy Efficiency (BEE). LG DUAL COOL INVERTER AC range works on variable tonnage technology which adjusts the cooling as per user requirement by controlling the compressor speed. The electronics giant took consumers’ convenience to the next level with ThinQ technology, which allows the users to control & monitor AC at any time and from anywhere with an App on the phone. “LG’s air conditioners are also equipped with the Ocean Black Protection for superior protection against rusting of copper coils and other features such as Himalaya Cool, Comfort Air, Monsoon Comfort that are developed for Indian Conditions.
