Fujitsu announced the successful implementation of Good and Services Tax projects for its customers across India. On the eve of recent rollout of Goods and Services Tax by Government of India, Fujitsu took full responsibility for the customers GST deployment and has completed the work for KOYO Bearing, NR Agarwal, Shriram Pistons & Rings Ltd., and Balaji in a short span of time.

Touted as a landmark tax reform, implementation of GST brings into effect ‘one tax’ in India instead of the multiple taxes levied pre-GST. Fujitsu worked with its partners to equip businesses of all sizes with the technology to thrive in this digital economy and to successfully implement the new structure with ease and assisted them in capitalizing on opportunities for digitization.

Comment from Andy Stevenson, Head of India, Turkey, and the Middle East, Fujitsu Limited, said,“We are delighted to announce that we have been assisting our customers in updating their systems and helping them implement GST. It was a landmark decision to pass the GST bill, and we believe that the Indian economy will strengthen manifold with this step. Through the combination of our skills and knowledge, we are sure of driving and achieving greater results of digital transformation in India, along with our customers.”

Comment from Ninad Sule, Country Head – Business & Application Services at Fujitsu India, said,“The implementation of GST will bring in a disruptive change in India. Comment from Sachin Sharma, IT In-Charge at KOYO Bearing, said,“With GOI’s implementation of GST, we are undergoing a phase of reforms. Fujitsu being our partner for SAP Implementation, hardware, AMS and currently GST Implementation, we are overwhelmed and delighted by the expertise and skills they have showcased repeatedly. They have helped in supporting us at challenging times especially under uncertain situations like GST Implementation which was never experienced before. In spite of all the ambiguity across the nation on the subject, they have succeeded to perform “Go live” of our system, under 5 weeks, on due date i.e. 1st July 2017. With Fujitsu, we have achieved seamless transition to GST regime and development of statutory GST registers in SAP, which ensured business continuance and compliance to GST.”

Comment from Ramesh Harkulkar, Project Lead at NR Agarwal, said, “With Fujitsu being GST implementation partner, it was evident from the beginning that we were dealing with experts in this field, and not a ‘body shop.’ Fujitsu has provided highly relevant experience that enabled NRAIL to leverage SAP GST applications to solve our most challenging requirements under GST configuration in SAP.”

Comment from Keyur Chauhan, CIO at Balaji Wafers Pvt. Ltd. said,“With GOI’s implementation of GST, we are undergoing a phase of reforms. Partnering with Fujitsu India has been a delightful experience for us. One of the main reasons we decided to get Fujitsu on board for our GST implementation is because of their team’s expertise in this area, exhibited through the execution of ‘Go live’ on 1st July, 2017.”

Comment from Sachin Tyagi, IT Head at Shriram Pistons & Rings Ltd. said, “We have been engaging with Fujitsu India since last 6 years. Being a technology pioneer they have played a key role in the transition and enablement of this new taxation regime i.e. GST Implementation. They have helped us to complete the  challenging project prevailing which was like a black box across the nation, but Fujitsu  have shown their competency in delivering on their promised timelines against all the odds while Go live date was made intact at 1st July 2017. Therefore, we are satisfied with their very performance in this crucial project. One of the biggest benefits we have seen is the changes in our SAP working in respect to the new GST regime across India.”
