Canon India showcases latest technology at the Broadcast India Show 2016

Canon India Pvt. Ltd., India’s leading Digital Imaging Company is showcasing its varied range of products at the Broadcast India Show 2016. Being organized at the Bombay Exhibition Centre, Goregaon from 20^th-22^nd October 2016, this global exhibition showcases state-of-the-art film and imaging technology. At this year’s display, Canon India is exhibiting a prolific range of Cinema EOS products, Professional Video cameras and Cine Lenses.

Mr. Kazutada Kobayashi – President & CEO, Canon India and Mr. Eddie Udagawa – Vice President – Consumer Imaging & Information Centre, Canon India, were present to inaugurate the Canon India stall. The attraction of the event was a revelation of three upcoming products by the imaging leader in the country, including Cinema EOS C700, XC 15 and Cine Lens – 18-80 with Servo Zoom. Where XC 15 and Cine Lens – 18-80 with Servo Zoom, will be available next month, the Cinema EOS C700 is expected to arrive in India by the end of December this year.

Details on the new products, which were shared at the show include-

1. Cinema EOS C700

Canon’s new EOS C700/EOS C700 GS PL is the first Cinema EOS System camera to support anamorphic lenses[1], making it possible for the confirmation of images with the 2.39:1 aspect ratio typical of cinema productions. Moreover, enabling Full HD high-frame-rate recording at a maximum of 240 fps (crop), the camera enables smooth playback, even when slowed down, empowering the freedom in creative visual expression.

The EOS C700/EOS C700 GS PL features a design as the top-of-the-range model in the Cinema EOS System Digital Cinema camera line-up. Designed with a customizable modular body, it provide users greater freedom for on-location image acquisition to meet a wide range of professional needs for production such as movies, TV dramas, commercials and documentaries.

2. XC 15

Whether you’re an advanced amateur or professional 4K and HD videographer, a digital filmmaker needing a cost-

effective 4K UHD/HD “B” or “C” camera, or a multimedia journalist in the field, the XC15 4K UHD Camcorder is the complete package to get you the high-quality footage you seek and do so easily and conveniently.

With a compact, portable body, the new XC15 4K UHD Camcorder is ideal for handheld editorial and news shooting or on-set TV and film shoots. Its different look settings can be used to make sure it pairs well with Canon Cinema EOS cameras as well as XF and XA series camcorders.

The XC15 4K UHD Camcorder’s compact design, advanced 12 megapixel CMOS image sensor, wide-angle 10x zoom lens with Image Stabilizer and advanced autofocus delivers outstanding sharpness and colour to bring virtually any project to life.

Equipped with features that will appeal to not only experienced videographers but also novice filmmakers, the Canon XC15 4K UHD Camcorder will help all users capture brilliant imagery quickly and easily, again and again.

3. Cine Lens – 18-80 with Servo Zoom

The COMPACT-SERVO 18-80mm T4.4 EF-mount lens combines the benefits of compact size and light weight (only 2.7 lbs.) for outstanding mobility. Designed to shoot video, this lens can be ideal for the cinematographer moving up from our EF lenses, combining the functionality of our EF lenses with the video shooting features of our Cinema lenses. Our first Cinema style lens that incorporates both an Image stabilization function and Auto Focus function, the lens is also fully 4K-ready, with a high optical resolution and support for Super35mm large-format cameras. A 9-blade aperture diaphragm helps ensure an artistic and beautiful representation of out-of-focus areas (or “Bokeh”). The lens also features a 4.4x zoom magnification, a focal length range of 18mm to 80mm, and a 180º smooth rotating focus ring.
