LiveMe redesigns app introducing 5 new categories on its platform to cater masses

LiveMe has launched five new categories to enhance engagement with users and offer them a wide variety of top-notch content across various domains. The new categories – Live Entertainment, Live Game of Gamers, Live Laughter Challenge, Live Bollywood and Live Music – aim to fulfil the holistic entertainment needs of users and give fresh talent a solid platform to showcase their skills.

Standing up to the expectations of its 60 million users across the world, LiveMe is now an open platform with a plethora of content to be discovered. Debuted in India in April 2017, LiveMe has seen over 13 million downloads in a year in the country. With redesigning LiveMe is targeting to increase viewing rate from 75% on average to 95% a day.

The primary focus of the company is to build good content and provide budding artists a platform to not only showcase their talent and reach masses but make a living out of it through virtual presents such as Samosa, laddoo, jalebis and festive stickers that their fans gift them. These virtual gifts form an important part of the app’s monetization as well as gifting process, the app had processed USD 1 million in virtual gift payments to its streamers within 7 months of its inception. The app is most popular among the age group 25-34 and receives major traction from- Delhi, Surat, Mumbai, Bangalore, Jaipur, Hyderabad and Pune.
