Sony India announces Android Oreo update for Xperia R1 and R1 Plus
Sony India announced the rollout of the new Android 8.0 Oreo update for its Xperia R1 and R1 Plus smartphone. The roll-out is effective from 9th March, 2018.
Some of the new features include:

- Notification Dots: Press the notification dots to quickly see what’s new, and easily clear them by swiping away
- Android Instant Apps: Teleport directly into new apps right from your browser, no installation needed
- Express yourself in more ways than ever: Share the feels with a fully redesigned emoji set, including over 60 new emoji
