Trend Micro Executive Named to Top 50 Influential Hispanic Leaders

Trend Micro Incorporated , a global leader in cybersecurity solutions, today announced that Hernán Armbruster, vice president and managing director for Canada, Latin America and the Caribbean, has been named one of the Top 50 Influential Hispanic Leaders in Latin America/Ibero America by the Hispanic IT Executive Council (HITEC).

Armbruster has more than 23 years of experience in the IT security industry and leads the Trend Micro regional teams in Canada, Latin America and the Caribbean in sales and marketing strategies that maximize growth opportunities with global business partners in those regions. He manages all aspects of operations for seven offices in four countries overseeing more than 100 employees. He has been a part of Trend Micro’s operations in Latin America since it began in 1997.

His expertise, industry network and business savvy are some of the reasons for our success in the Latin America market,” said Kevin Simzer, executive vice president, sales, marketing and business development for Trend Micro.He has been instrumental in establishing Trend Micro in the Latin America region, and his leadership has propelled growth in his markets. Armbruster also integrates community support in his regions to make the digital world a safer place for everyone. In Latin America, Armbruster’s team has provided approximately 50 threat defense trainings to IT professionals and students in more than 20 cities to share the latest information on advanced threats such as ransomware or how to protect hybrid cloud environments. In addition, Armbruster’s regions are also closely involved with law enforcement officials investigating cybercrime by providing intelligence and training that improve these law officers’ ability to solve these cases.

HITEC is the premier global executive leadership organization of senior business and IT executives. Since 2011, the 50 most influential and notable Hispanic professionals in the information technology industry from Latin America/Ibero-America have been recognized for their leadership and achievements in the industry and in their communities. Recipients were honored at the HITEC 50 Awards Luncheon in Dallas, Texas on April 7.
